Başpınar Tabiat Parkı
Located in the Aksu district of Isparta, on the road leading up to Sorgun Dam, Başpınar Nature Park was designated a nature park in 2011. Its 39.5-hectare area is a protected site well suited to highland and mountain tourism, with its monumental black pine forest, the Başpınar water spring, rich wildlife and unique scenery. It is about 3 km from Sorgun Dam and likewise 3 km from the archaeologically significant Zindan Cave. Preferred in the summer months for its coolness, the park offers tent camping and stays in country houses. It provides an ideal setting for those wishing to do botanical tours, hiking, nature photography and wildlife watching. Every year in May, the Karakoyunlu Yörüks migrate to the Anamas and Sorgun highlands, keeping traditional transhumance alive. While wandering the nature park you can listen for the sounds of lambs and kids, see Yörük women spinning yarn with a hand spindle, and, when you are their guest, savor the taste of churned ayran.
