Located on the seashore in the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul province, Büyükçekmece Halk Plajı is a public swimming area 650 meters long and 20 meters wide. The shore is sand and the seabed is sand. During the swimming season from June 15 to September 15, it has a daily capacity of approximately 1500 people. The area has 15 showers, 15 changing cabins, and 15 washbasins. 15 kiosks/food and drink points serve visitors. 15 lifeguards are on duty and there is a flag warning system. The beach is pet-friendly. Boating is possible in the area. Entry to the public beach is free; the area is open daily between 08:00 and 20:00.
