Danaağzı Tabiat Parkı
Located in the Çalca neighborhood within the boundaries of Tepeören village in Zonguldak's Karadeniz Ereğli district, Danaağzı Nature Park takes its name from the nearby Danaağzı cove. Declared in 2014 with an area of approximately 57 hectares, the park was later expanded to reach 89 hectares. With rich forest cover growing in the humid Black Sea climate, the park presents a structure in which coniferous and broad-leaved trees intertwine. Black pine, pedunculate oak, Anatolian chestnut, beech and hornbeam trees along with dense rhododendron thickets stand out; species such as otter, red squirrel, fox and wild boar are part of this natural life. With scenic viewpoints, hiking routes and cycling routes in the surroundings, the park is well suited to those seeking a quiet forest getaway. As there is no public transport to the park, visits are made by private vehicle, proceeding via Seyfetler village to the Çalca neighborhood.
