Dilburnu Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2011, Dilburnu Nature Park is a 6.88-hectare protected area on the sea-view shore of Büyükada, in Istanbul's Adalar district. The park is entirely covered with forest, and the dominant tree species is Turkish red pine. Accompanied by stone pine, Judas tree, hackberry, and holly, this pine forest is also valuable for lying on an important bird migration route; it is home to species such as wild boar, squirrel, fox, and hare. The pine-covered area extending about 500 meters toward the headland offers ideal picnic spots with sea-view terraces. On the 1-kilometer trail within the park, visitors can walk, jog, and take cycling tours; a children's playground and a country restaurant also serve day visitors. The park can be reached by taking the Islands ferries departing from Sirkeci, Kabataş, Kadıköy, Bostancı, and Kartal to Büyükada, and then continuing on foot or by renting a bicycle.
