Located on the seafront along the Florya coast from which it takes its name, in Istanbul's Bakırköy district, Florya Güneş Plajı is a public swimming area 800 meters long and 50 meters wide. Both the shore and the seabed are sandy. The beach operates between 08:00-19:00 during the swimming season from June 15 to September 15 and has a daily capacity of approximately 6000 people; entry is free.
