İncekum Tabiat Parkı
Located on the Mediterranean coast within the boundaries of Avsallar Mahallesi in Antalya's Alanya district, İncekum Nature Park was declared a nature park in 2006. Situated along the D-400 highway, the park consists of two sections opening to the sea on its southern side. The most striking geomorphological feature of the coastal section is the kamenitzas, formed by the contact of karstic rocks with surface waters and declared a sensitive protection zone; nearly 100 kamenitzas are found in an area of about 1.3 hectares at the southern tip of the site. The park is also home to a 1,800-year-old olive oil production site unearthed within the protected area. Turkish red pine, cypress, stone pine, laurel, myrtle, carob and oriental sweetgum stand out in the vegetation, while the Taurus ground squirrel, hoopoe, little owl, Eurasian eagle-owl and Mediterranean tortoise are among the animals that can be seen in the area. With its shoreline, facilities such as a kitchen, showers and a laundry, and its tent, bungalow and caravan units, it is suitable both for day recreation and for overnight camping. Hiking, cycling, nature tours and shore angling can be enjoyed on the surrounding trails. The park is located at kilometer 109 of the Antalya-Alanya road, 25 km from Alanya's center.
