Kavaklımeşe Korusu Tabiat Parkı
Kavaklımeşe Korusu Nature Park is located in the town of Kavaklı, attached to the central district of Kırklareli. The town's history stretches back as far as that of Kırklareli; the first settlers of the region are thought to have been the Thracians, and the Romans later also chose this place as a settlement area. Lying on the transit route of intercontinental incursions, the area long remained within Roman and Byzantine lands and, after 1356, entered Ottoman territory, becoming one of the campaign routes opening toward Europe. Suitable for day recreation, nature walks and cycling, the grove is one of the favorite spots of the local people with its forested texture and calm atmosphere. Around it are day-use facilities such as a car park, toilets, a fountain, a viewing terrace and a children's playground, and it can be reached by public transport.
