Kovanlık Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2011 in Muğla's Datça district, Kovanlık Nature Park, with its area of 5.76 hectares, lies within the Datça-Bozburun Special Environmental Protection Zone and a 2nd-degree natural protected site. The dominant ecosystem in the park is the forest ecosystem; red pine forests and Mediterranean maquis flora give the area a distinctive Mediterranean texture. Kovanlık is a nature park focused on overnight stays. The area holds 17 bungalow-type units with a total capacity of 68 beds along with wooden bungalow houses; in addition to the lodging units, a country restaurant, a guesthouse, an education building, a laundry, a water well, and showers with changing cabins are in service. A mosque built in 2025 has also been opened for visitors' use. There is no day-use option in the park; the area is intended only for overnight visits. Located at the 44th kilometer of the Marmaris-Datça highway, the park can be reached by public transport vehicles operating on the Marmaris-Datça line.
