Malabadi Tabiat Parkı
Malabadi Nature Park, the first nature park of Batman, takes its name from the historic Malabadi Bridge right beside it. Built on an area of about 96 hectares, the park lies 32 km from the center of Batman, on the old Batman-Silvan-Diyarbakır highway. The park's principal tree species is the valonia oak; alongside it there are also terebinth, blue cypress, black cypress, oriental plane and various pine species. In addition to mammals such as jackal, fox, hare and hedgehog, bird species such as swift, sparrowhawk, hawk, magpie and jay, as well as tortoises and other reptiles, live in the area. The recently declared park is not yet fully open to use; in the future the construction of a masjid, day-use areas, a country café and restaurant, bungalow houses, tented camping areas and children's playgrounds is planned. It offers a simple route for hiking, cycling and nature excursions, accompanied by views of the historic bridge. The park is open every day from 08:00 to 23:00. Admission is charged: pedestrian entry is 60 TL per day and car entry is 180 TL per day.
