Mavikent Tabiat Parkı
The 42.5-hectare Mavikent Nature Park, located within the boundaries of the Yenice Neighborhood of Antalya's Kumluca district, was declared a nature park in 2009. Situated to the west of the Gulf of Antalya, the park owes its green cover to the Cyprus acacia, stone pine and eucalyptus trees within it. Studies have identified 246 plant genera as well as 14 reptiles, 117 bird species and 12 mammal species. Hosting a sea turtle nesting beach, the park is suitable for swimming and picnicking with its beach and sands. Nature tours, shore angling and cycling let visitors experience the coast and the forest together. The park is 125 km from the city center of Antalya and 15 km from the center of the Kumluca district.
