Nene Hatun Tarihi Milli Parkı
Nene Hatun Historical National Park is a commemorative and natural area lying right beside the city, only 4 km from the Erzurum provincial center. Dedicated to Nene Hatun, one of the symbolic figures of the history of the National Struggle, the park has been arranged with cultural tourism in mind; by not opening new vehicle roads within the area, its natural and historical fabric has been preserved. Within the park are the Nene Hatun Cemetery, the Aziziye 1, 2 and 3 Bastions and the Mecidiye Bastion, along with positions and trenches from the period, monuments and symbolic martyrs' memorials. In the area, greened through afforestation and landscaping, monument and memorial visits, nature walks and scenic viewpoints await visitors. Access to the park is by road, via an asphalt road branching off the Kars-Erzincan state highway.
