Obruk Şelalesi Tabiat Parkı
Obruk Waterfall Nature Park in Adana's Saimbeyli district was declared in 2018 with its area of 257 hectares. It takes its name from the waterfall, the park's most important natural asset. Standing out with its rich natural scenery and abundant water sources, the park is one of the habitats of the endemic butterfly species known as the Saimbeyli blue (Polyommatus theresiae). Species such as Turkish red pine, black pine, Grecian juniper, kermes oak and quaking aspen, together with aromatic plants such as sage, thyme and Taurus tea, enrich the forest. Wolves, hares, foxes, wild boar, otters and partridges, along with various birds of prey, make up the area's lively fauna. Around the waterfall, nature walks, cycling, nature tours and angling await visitors. The park is 160 km from the centre of Adana and only 5 km from the Saimbeyli district centre.
