Sakarya Meydan Muharebesi Tarihi Milli Parkı
Stretching within the boundaries of the Polatlı and Haymana districts of Ankara, the Battle of Sakarya Historical National Park was declared in 2015, and with the boundary revision in 2025 its area was increased to 22,487 hectares. It is established on the lands where the Battle of Sakarya took place; the battle that changed the fate of the National Struggle and is remembered as the longest-lasting pitched battle in world history. Because the areas where the fighting was most intense are protected, the park consists of 24 separate parcels of land. Visitors can explore this important area through monument and memorial visits, history tours, nature walks and scenic viewpoints. As the Polatlı Central Section lies within the district's settlement area, it is within walking distance. Main access to the area is via the Ankara-Eskişehir road; access via Haymana is also possible. The high-speed and conventional rail lines passing through Polatlı provide railway access to the park.
