Saklıkent Milli Parkı
Declared a national park in 1996, Saklıkent National Park is located on and around the Eşen stream, on the border of the provinces of Antalya and Muğla. Part of the 1,643-hectare area falls within the Seydikemer district of Muğla, and the park takes its name from its deep, cool canyon. The rich forest cover formed by Turkish red pine, black pine, stone pine, cedar and linden hosts a diverse fauna sheltering species such as wild boar, wild goat, fox, tortoise and hawk. The canyon, through which crystal-clear waters flow, offers an ideal route for day recreation, canyon walking and exploration in nature; the surroundings of the Eşen stream also welcome rafting enthusiasts. At the canyon entrance there are a country restaurant, a car park, a kiosk and sales units. Access to the park is provided by two different routes: the Fethiye-Korkuteli highway from the north and the Aklar village road from the south.
