Şeytansofrası Sulak Alanı
The 17-hectare Şeytan Sofrası, located in the Ayvalık district of Balıkesir, was declared a wetland of local importance in 2017. This small but impressive area, lying within the boundaries of Ayvalık Adaları Nature Park, draws nature lovers with its unique scenery and rich biodiversity. The elevated wooden walkway surrounding the wetland provides an ideal setting for birdwatching and photography. Species such as the herring gull, rock bunting, flamingo and ruddy shelduck are among the birds that can be observed in this area. Şeytan Sofrası is reached by turning off the İzmir-Çanakkale road and continuing about 3 km via Sarımsaklı. There are as yet no facilities in the area.
