Tek Tek Dağları Milli Parkı
A 19,335-hectare section of the Tek Tek Mountains, which rise to the southeast of Şanlıurfa, was declared a national park in 2007. This steppe-like mountainous area stands out not only for its natural values but also for the rich archaeological heritage it holds. Within the park boundaries lie Büyük Senemmağara, Keçili Tepe and Karahantepe, along with first-degree archaeological sites around Soğmatar (Yağmurlu) and Şuayipşehri. These ancient settlements and remains bear witness to the region's thousands of years of settlement history. The surrounding wildlife and open vistas also make the area attractive to nature lovers. Among its wide plateaus and hills, it offers a suitable setting for hiking and cycling routes, nature tours, rock climbing and photo safaris.
