Troya Tarihi Milli Parkı
The 13,627-hectare Troy Historical National Park, located within the boundaries of the Ezine district of Çanakkale, was declared a national park in 1996. Surrounding the legendary ancient city of Troy, this area brings together its cultural heritage and rich nature. In the park, where species such as turpentine tree, myrtle, kermes oak, stone pine, Calabrian pine and cypress are found, sea holly, tamarisk and reeds spread across coastal dune areas such as Papaz Beach and Orhaniye shore. A variety of living species; from mullet and goby to black stork, heron and bee-eater, from hedgehog to hare; inhabit this habitat. Suitable for camping, trekking, photography and birdwatching, the park also welcomes visitors with cycling and hiking routes. The area, about 30 km from the city centre of Çanakkale, is easily reached via Ezine.
