Located on the sea coast in the Şile district of Istanbul province, Akçakese Peacock Beach is a public swimming area 450 meters long and 30 meters wide. The shore is sand and the seabed is sand. During the swimming season from June 15 to September 15, it has a daily capacity of approximately 400 people. The area has 20 showers, 7 changing cabins and 16 washbasins. 2 kiosks/food and drink points serve visitors. 5 lifeguards are on duty, first aid supplies are available and there is a flag warning system. The beach is wheelchair accessible, has parking and is pet-friendly. Boating is possible in the area. Use of the beach is free of charge; the area is open to visitors every day between 09:00 and 19:00. Nearest health facility: Şile Devlet Hastanesi.
