Aşıkpaşa Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2010, the 131-hectare Aşıkpaşa Nature Park stretches east of the city center of Kırşehir, right beside the Ankara-Kayseri highway. With its natural vegetation, wildlife and scenic integrity, it is an area particularly well suited to open-air recreation; thanks to its proximity to the city center, it offers an ideal escape for day trips and relaxation. The black pine afforestation area established on the steppe vegetation of Central Anatolia gives the park a distinctive plant diversity. Studies have identified 325 plant taxa belonging to 65 families, 5 of which have been found to be endemic. Within the park boundaries, the presence of 108 vertebrate species has also been recorded, including 73 birds, 18 mammals, 13 reptiles and 4 amphibians. The park can be reached by urban public transport and private vehicles; entry is through two entrance control points on the Ankara-Kayseri highway and a third gate on the park's east-west boundary. It welcomes visitors with a day-use area, walking and cycling routes, a tent camping area and scenic viewpoints.
