Balamba Tabiat Parkı
Only 2.2 kilometers from the city center of Bartın, Balamba Nature Park was declared a nature park in 2011 after being registered as a recreation spot in 1989. With its 13-hectare area, it is one of the closest nature getaways meeting the recreation needs of the local population. Alongside the rich vegetation formed by species such as hornbeam, oak, Lebanon cedar, stone pine and rhododendron, squirrels, tortoises, wild boar and forest-dwelling bird species such as woodpecker, goldfinch and robin add color to the park. Suitable for day use thanks to the terrain's slope being well suited to picnicking, the park features a 1-kilometer nature walking trail, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, a country restaurant, a kiosk, open-air event areas and two children's playgrounds.
