Botan Vadisi Milli Parkı
Declared a national park in 2019, the Botan Valley stretches along a route of about 29 kilometers within the boundaries of the central, Tillo and Eruh districts of Siirt. The park, whose boundaries were redrawn in 2025, is one of the region's favorite destinations with its deep valley shaped by the Botan Stream and its natural beauty. Cultural heritage is rich in the valley, through which part of the historic Silk Road also passed: the churches in the villages of Yerlibahçe, Kayaboğaz, Kalender and Koçlu, the monastery at the Deyr site and the Hermit Mar Yakub Monastery, built in the 6th century, are located here. Rasıl Hacar Hill (Delikli Taş), at an elevation of about 350 meters, offers a unique vantage point for watching the view of the Botan Stream. Taking on a different beauty in every season, the park welcomes nature lovers with its walking routes and rest areas.
