Dedeardıç Tabiat Anıtı
Located near the town of Göktepe in the Sarıveliler district of Karaman, the Dedeardıç Nature Monument is a magnificent Greek juniper tree that the local people call Dedeardıç. It stands on forest land, at an elevation of 1,720 meters, on a sloping hillside facing southeast. With a trunk reaching a circumference of 11.30 meters from ground level, a height of 15 meters and a diameter of 3.76 meters, the tree draws attention with its eleven-forked trunk. In good health, with no rot or hollows in its trunk, this monumental tree blends with the surrounding forest texture and forms a quiet stopping point for hikers. The area is reached from the town of Göktepe via the asphalt road in the direction of the village of Işıklı, by taking the road branching off to the west after about 3.5 kilometers and continuing for 3 kilometers.
