Gürcüoluk Mağarası Tabiat Parkı
Located in Bartın's Amasra district, the 49.9-hectare Gürcüoluk Cave Nature Park was placed under protection in 2013. The cave that gives the area its name is a formation with a width of 2-2.5 meters and a height varying between 1 and 7 meters, its interior adorned with exceptionally beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and curtain dripstones. In the forests surrounding the park, species such as beech, hornbeam, oak, hop hornbeam, chestnut, linden, and rhododendron grow side by side. Squirrels, tortoises, wild boar, roe deer, and various forest birds make up the region's rich fauna; horseshoe bat species live inside the cave. A walking path paved with slate stone, about 500 meters long, leads to the cave; the area has a parking lot, an entrance checkpoint, a small mosque, toilets, and fountains. The park is 29 km from Bartın and 10 km from Amasra. Following the road passing through the village of Makaracı, you reach the Göller Yanı locality.
