Harmankaya Kanyonu Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2012, the 397.6-hectare Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park lies within the boundaries of Bilecik's Yenipazar and İnhisar districts. The canyon, thought to have formed as a result of faulting, is 2.5 km long; it is a steep, deep valley whose height reaches 700 meters in places. With its deep clefts and high walls, it is a rare beauty of great landscape value. With its waterfalls exceeding 20 meters, deep waters, and narrow passages, the park is a center of attraction for outdoor sports enthusiasts; the canyon, the cave, and the recreation opportunities are its main resource values. Within forests of black pine, Turkish red pine, oak, and juniper, canyoning, rock climbing, cave tourism, and hiking are possible. In the area, inhabited by wild boar and bear, the nests of birds of prey on the rocks are ideal for wildlife watching. Day-use facilities such as a tent camping area, a country café, a viewing terrace, and WCs serve visitors. The nature park is 11 km from the İnhisar district, 8 km from Yenipazar, and 75 km from the Bilecik provincial center.
