İnbükü Tabiat Parkı
Located in Muğla's Marmaris district, İnbükü Nature Park was registered as a Type A Recreation Area in 1984 and declared a nature park in 2011. Containing two coves, İnbükü and Çökertme, the park was open in recreation seasons for tent and caravan camping as well as day use. Among the 11 nature parks within Muğla's boundaries, it holds a special place with its natural assets and location. Lying within the Datça-Bozburun Special Environmental Protection Zone and a 1st Degree Natural Site, the park is dominated by a forest ecosystem. In its surroundings, 253 plant, 36 bird, 19 mammal and 27 reptile-amphibian species can be observed at different times of the year. Turkish red pine, myrtle, laurel and oriental sweetgum trees together with Mediterranean maquis form the dominant vegetation; the squirrel, hedgehog, hare, caracal, fox and tortoise are among the frequently seen animals. Between the coves it is possible to take nature tours, fish with a line from the shore, go on rowboat trips and walk the surrounding trails. The park is at the 25th kilometer of the Marmaris-Datça road and can also be reached by public transport on bus line 48-16.
