Isırlık Tabiat Parkı
Isırlık Nature Park is a 12-hectare protected area in the village of Ekmekçiler in Rize's Merkez district, about 3.8 km from the provincial center as the crow flies. Declared a nature park in 2015, the area stands out with its rich flora and fauna. The vegetation consists mainly of broadleaf trees; natural alder and chestnut forest vegetation, with black pine and Scots pine trees in places, dominates the area. In the forest clearings, prickly juniper, wild pear, trembling aspen, oak and wild rose species can be encountered. Tall herbaceous grass communities create a distinctive natural texture covering a significant part of the park. Suitable for hiking, nature tours and cycling trips, the park offers opportunities for day recreation and scenic viewing. Its distance to Rize-Artvin Airport is 41 km.
