Kuyuluk Tabiat Parkı
Located within the boundaries of Kuyuluk Neighborhood in Mersin's Mezitli district, Kuyuluk Nature Park is a small but diverse protected area of 19 hectares. In the park, surrounded by agricultural lands, houses and red pine forests, a typical Mediterranean maquis cover scattered among the red pines dominates: myrtle, oak, strawberry tree, olive, terebinth and sumac species are found here together. Dense forest texture and reed beds along the banks of the seasonally flowing stream stand out. The park hosts mammals such as squirrels, foxes, badgers, hares and wild boars, as well as bird species such as long-legged buzzards, little owls, woodpeckers and partridges. It is a calm day-trip area suitable for hiking, cycling on short routes and nature observation. The park, 4 km from Mezitli district center and 15 km from Mersin city center, is reached via the Mersin-Fındıkpınarı provincial road running along its northern boundary.
