Oluközü Tabiat Parkı
Oluközü Nature Park, declared in 2011 and covering 31.23 hectares, is located in the town of Oluközü in Yozgat's Akdağmadeni district and takes its name from this town. In the park, where mixed forests of Scots pine and oak meet meadow areas in the interior, species such as Syrian juniper, maple, rowan, hawthorn, wild rose and milkvetch make for rich vegetation. In the park, home to red squirrels, foxes, wild boar, hedgehogs and martens as well as species such as brown bear, lynx and red deer, birds such as the long-legged buzzard, kestrel, jay and little owl can be seen, along with tortoises and various reptiles. There are areas suitable for nature walks, nature tours and day-trip picnics. The park, 10 km from the Akdağmadeni district centre, is reached via the Sivas-Yozgat (E88) highway passing 3 km to its north. The nearest airport is Kayseri Airport, 142 km away.
