Şahin Tepesi Tabiat Parkı
Located in the district center of Erzin in Hatay, the 907-decare Şahin Tepesi Nature Park is a protected area where forest and water landscapes intertwine, with underground water sources, sedimentary rocks, and travertine formations. Naturally growing coniferous trees and shrubs take on different colors in each of the four seasons, creating a unique view. Home to rich vegetation including black pine, Turkish red pine, juniper, kermes oak, and sandal trees, the park offers visitors various facilities with hiking, cycling, tour routes, and scenic viewpoints. The arranged day-use areas and the caravan camping area are suitable for those wishing to take a short holiday. The construction of the country houses has not yet been completed. The park, 111 km from the district center of Antakya, is reached by private vehicle via the Adana-Hatay and Erzin-İskenderun highways. The park is open every day between 08:00 and 20:00. Entry is subject to a fee: pedestrian entry is 60 TL per day and car entry is 180 TL; the caravan auto-camp unit, electricity included, is charged at 120 TL per day.
