Salda Gölü Tabiat Parkı
Located in the Yeşilova district of Burdur, Salda Gölü Nature Park was declared in 2011 and expanded to 57 hectares with the boundary revision in 2019. Around the lake, aquatic plants, meadow-pasture and steppe plants, Turkish red pine stands, and white dunes draw attention. The park stands out with its biodiversity: 301 aquatic and terrestrial plant species belonging to 61 families have been identified, some of which are unique to Lake Salda and its surroundings. The lake is home to endemic fish species such as the Salda killifish (Aphanius splendens), which lives nowhere else in the world. The area is an important birdwatching spot hosting 38 different waterbirds, especially in the autumn and winter months. Walking and cycling routes, photo safari, and birdwatching are the park's main activities. The park is 9 km from the Yeşilova district center, 69 km from Burdur, and 82 km from Denizli, and is reached via the Burdur-Acıpayam-Denizli (D330) highway.
