Registered in 2011, Sarıgazel Nature Park spreads over an area of 143 hectares in the Ondokuzmayıs district of Samsun. With coniferous and broadleaved species such as ash, maritime pine, Turkish red pine, oak, maple, and hornbeam, alongside maquis groups, the park hosts rich wildlife with 73 vertebrate species identified in its surroundings. Welcoming visitors with a country restaurant, a basketball court, a prayer room, a baby-care unit, and picnic pergolas, the area allows for hiking, cycling tours, photography, and plant and animal observation. It offers an ideal setting for relaxation and outdoor activities. The park is 38 km from the city center of Samsun and only 3 km from the district center of Ondokuzmayıs. The nearest airport is Çarşamba Airport, 58 km away.
