Tatlıca Şelaleleri Tabiat Parkı
Located within the boundaries of Tatlıca village in Sinop's Erfelek district, Tatlıca Waterfalls Nature Park is a 72-hectare natural wonder taken under protection in 2011. The Gülleyük stream, one of the tributaries of the Karasu creek, has carved its bed ever deeper along the valley, forming 28 waterfalls lined up like the steps of a staircase. Rising from the northern slopes of Soğukoluk Hill, the stream creates this unique series of waterfalls in the steeply sloping valley along its 4.5-kilometer journey. The humid forests, where beech, hornbeam, chestnut, fir and hazel intertwine, host rich wildlife together with roe deer, lynx, marten, fox and woodcock. Walking routes stretching between the waterfalls, nature hikes and scenic viewpoints invite visitors to explore accompanied by the sound of the water. The nearest settlement to the area is Tatlıca village, 2 km away. The park, 18 km from the Erfelek district center and 44 km from the Sinop provincial center, is reached by road.
