Vakıf Tabiat Parkı
Vakıf Nature Park, declared in 2018 and covering 26.78 hectares, is located on the coast of Vakıf village in the Enez district of Edirne. The park, which has a wide beach bordering the Gulf of Saros, is about 2.5 km from the Vakıf Tuzla Lagoon. In the area adjacent to the Sazlıkbaşı State Forest, oak is the dominant species; the mixed forest structure formed by ash, boxwood, maritime pine, black pine, and stone pine adds a rich texture to the region. Highly productive in terms of birds and mammals, the site lies on the migration route of songbirds, especially in spring and autumn, which makes the park ideal for birdwatching. Visitors can swim at the beach and go on nature walks and bike tours in the forest. The park is operated by the Türkiye Gençlik Vakfı. Entrance is subject to a fee: pedestrian entry is 60 TL per day, and car entry is 180 TL per day. Basic amenities such as toilets, a parking lot, and a viewing terrace are available in the area.
