Zeytintaşı Mağarası Tabiat Anıtı
The 46-hectare Zeytintaşı Cave Natural Monument, located within the boundaries of Akbaş Mahallesi in the Serik district of Antalya, was placed under protection in 2013. Surrounded by red pine forests, the area stands out both for its underground beauty and its rich natural diversity. Within the boundaries of the natural monument, 121 bird species have been identified; mammals such as brown hare, Anatolian squirrel, weasel, red fox, caracal and wild boar have been recorded. Around the cave, 79 plant species have been determined, of which has tığotu, köprülüçay and the Serik pear are endemic species unique to this region. Suitable for hiking, cave exploration, photography and safari, the area has WCs, a kiosk, a country café and a rain shelter. It is reached by traveling from Serik toward the village of Akbaş and following the Zeytintaşı Mağarası sign on the right about 500 meters before the village center.
