Köprülü Kanyon Milli Parkı
Declared in 1973, the 47,473-hectare Köprülü Kanyon National Park is a unique protected area northeast of Antalya where the Köprüçay has carved deep canyons. The ancient city of Selge, the Roman-era Büğrüm and Oluk bridges, Adam Kayalar and Tazı Kanyonu are intertwined with cypress, cedar and black pine forests. The park is one of Turkey's most popular rafting centers: the clear, fast waters of the Köprüçay offer rafting courses suitable for visitors of every level. Along the canyon, hiking routes, the climb to the ancient city of Selge and the Tazı Kanyonu viewpoints bring nature and history to life together. The park, about 50 km from Manavgat, is reached by taking the Taşağıl turnoff from the Antalya-Manavgat road to the village of Beşkonak. The area harbors rich wildlife with 224 vertebrate species, including fish.
