Zinav Gölü Tabiat Parkı
The 401-hectare Zinav Lake Nature Park in the Reşadiye district of Tokat was declared a nature park in 2011. Zinav Lake, which gives the park its name, was formed when a landslide occurring on the eastern slope of the Zinav Stream blocked the front of the valley; the waters accumulating behind it created this natural lake landscape. Dominated by broad-leaved forests, the park is covered with mixed forests in which downy oak, hornbeam and sessile oak prevail; here and there coniferous species such as black pine and Scots pine mingle with this fabric. Species such as wild pear, Greek juniper, cornelian cherry, rowan and hazel enrich the vegetation. The lake view, with its recreational and aesthetic values, offers a peaceful nature getaway. Well suited to hiking, cycling, canoe and rowboat outings and fishing, the park has a tent camping area, day-use areas and viewing points. The park is 17.4 km from the town of Reşadiye and 70.4 km from Tokat, and is reached from the Aybastı-Reşadiye highway by passing through the villages of Güvendik and Yolüstü.
