Ulugöl Tabiat Parkı
Ulugöl Nature Park, declared a nature park in 2009 and later expanded to 69.42 hectares, is located southwest of the Gölköy district of Ordu, about 17 km from the district center. Its broad-leaved mixed forest dominated by beech, hornbeam, hazel, oak, and alder blends with pseudo-maquis communities, meadow areas, and rocky outcrops. Within its ecological boundaries, the presence of 116 vertebrate species has been recorded: 4 amphibians, 9 reptiles, 80 birds, and 23 mammals. This rich life makes the area attractive for nature observers. The park contains a fountain, a children's playground, a wooden serender, and picnic tables for day use, as well as a tent camping area and country cottages for overnight stays. Offering day picnics, nature walking, fishing, and boat rides, the area is one of the local people's favorite spots with its aesthetic flora and favorable terrain.
