Oymalık Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2018, the 157.21-hectare Oymalık Nature Park is a forested protected area located 40 km north of the Koyulhisar district of Sivas. Dominated by Scots pine and eastern Black Sea fir, the park hosts numerous plant species such as hawthorn, rosehip, downy oak, sage, milkvetch, and mullein. The area is home to mammals such as bear, wild boar, wolf, squirrel, badger, marten, fox, and hare, as well as eagle, sparrowhawk, falcon, buzzard, owl, partridge, woodpecker, and various sparrows, along with reptiles such as green lizard, tortoise, and snake. Suitable for hiking, nature tours, and day recreation, the park features toilets, a children's playground, a stone oven, and picnic tables. The park is reached from the Koyulhisar district center by traveling about 20 km on the D855 highway and then continuing another 20 km on a dirt forest road. The park is 204 km from the Sivas city center and 146 km from the Ordu city center. The park is open every day between 08:00 and 21:00. Entry is subject to a fee: pedestrian entry is 60 TL per day, and car entry is 180 TL per day.
