Göğem Zafer Tabiat Parkı
Located about 15 km from Uşak city center, at the Kusura Boğazı locality next to the Göğem Pond, the 150-hectare Göğem Zafer Nature Park was established in 2018. The Zafer Anıtı (Victory Monument), the pond, wide meadows, forest and the stream ecosystem are the area's main source values. In the forested sections, species such as Oriental plane, kermes oak, Vallonea oak, tamarisk and rowan form rich vegetation. Also lively in terms of fauna, the park hosts bird species such as black stork, grey heron, turtle dove and buzzard, as well as species like hare and crested porcupine. The meadows and the pond's surroundings offer a favorable day-use recreation setting for hiking, cycling and scenery viewing. The park is reached by turning north at the Göğem Köyü junction on the Uşak-Banaz highway, via a 5.5 km road that is partly asphalt and partly gravel. As there is no public transport to the area, a private vehicle is required; the totem signs at the junction can be helpful.
