Şehit Şerifebacı Tabiat Parkı
Located about 12 km from the city center of Kastamonu, Şehit Şerife Bacı Nature Park was registered as a recreation area in 1973 and declared a nature park in 2011. With its 10-hectare area, it offers an accessible nature escape near the city. In the forested site dominated by black pines and Scots pines, woodcocks, quails, wood pigeons and various migratory birds can be seen; wild animals such as wild boars, roe deer, foxes and squirrels live in the surroundings. With hiking, photo safaris, bird and wildlife watching, and activity areas for children, it appeals to visitors of all ages. The park is reached via the Kastamonu-Çankırı-Ankara road. The nearest airport is Kastamonu Airport, 10 km away.
