Sırıkyayla Göknarı Tabiat Anıtı
This magnificent fir tree, standing in a forested area at the Sırıkyayla locality of Çınardüzü Village in the Merkez district of Düzce, was registered as a natural monument in 2002. Crowning a protection area of about 1,000 square meters, the tree is a centuries-old natural treasure. The monumental tree, a Nordmann fir (Abies nordmanniana), is around 300 years old, 70 meters tall, 1.36 meters in diameter and 6 meters in circumference. The impressive tree can be reached with a short walk through the surrounding forest. From Düzce Merkez, you travel to Beyköy and from there to Uğur Village to the southeast. Following the Odayeri sign and taking the Sırıkyayla road that turns up the slope before reaching the entrance of Odayeri Yaylası, you arrive at the monumental tree.
