Turgut Özal Nature Park, covering 38.69 hectares and declared a nature park in 2009, is located within the Battalgazi district of Malatya, only 3 km from the city center. It is a recreation area frequently visited by local people for day use, especially in the summer months. The park's main value lies in its natural landscape and recreation potential. In addition to the forest ecosystem, the pond created by damming the natural water source called Pınarbaşı adds a distinct richness to the area with its wetland ecosystem. The park features an entrance control point, a country restaurant, a country café, a kiosk, a prayer room, an administration and visitor information center, walking paths, picnic areas with and without fire, fountains, a parking lot, and children's playgrounds. Nature walking, scenic viewing, birdwatching, nature education, pedal boating on the pond, and day recreation are the main activities.
