Yedikapı Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2018, the 215.9-hectare Yedikapı Nature Park lies in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar, just southeast of the Eskişehir-Konya state highway. The park, 27 km from Bolvadin and 12 km from Emirdağ, is easily reached via an asphalt road. The park is largely dominated by degraded oak coppice, most of which consists of Turkey oak; here and there species such as Greek juniper, prickly juniper, barberry, rosehip, hawthorn and wild pear can be found. Wild boar, fox, hare, jackal and squirrel, along with birds such as sparrowhawk and turtle dove, make up the area's wildlife. Serving day-trip picnic and recreation needs, the park offers visitors the opportunity to get to know natural resources and develop an awareness of nature conservation. Within the area there are a small mosque, a kiosk, an entrance gate, WCs, a children's playground and a local products sales unit.
