Akdağ Milli Parkı
Declared a national park in 2024, Akdağ National Park covers 15,933 hectares between the Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar and the Çivril district of Denizli. It possesses a rich natural landscape with its mountains, forests, water sources, canyon, caves and highland pastures. With its high diversity of flora and fauna, the park holds strong potential for nature tourism. Within the area, country houses, children's playgrounds, day-use areas, a country restaurant and local product sales units welcome visitors. Mountaineering, bird and wildlife watching, photo safaris, caravan and tent camping, cave tours, canyon crossings, and walking, horseback and cycling excursions are the main activities available in the park. Akdağ National Park is reached 36 km from the Sandıklı district center via the Sorkun and Menteş village roads and via the Denizli-Çivril route.
