Çamkoru Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2011 and later expanded to 220 hectares, Çamkoru Nature Park is located in Ankara's Çamlıdere district, north of Kuşçular Yaylası. The old Ankara-Bolu highway divides the park in two: on one side stretch thick woodlands covered by Scots pine and black pine, on the other, forest clearings and Çamkoru Pond. Rich in herbaceous plants as well as woody species, the park's forest is accompanied by downy oak, Turkey oak, beech and juniper species. Its wildlife includes wolf, jackal, fox, hare and wild boar as well as birds of prey and songbirds, while various fish species live in the pond. It offers a suitable setting for hiking, cycling, angling and rowboat outings. Heading north from Kızılcahamam on the D750 toward Bolu for about 23 km, then turning south at the Çamlıdere junction, the park's northern boundary is reached after about 2.5 km.
