Şahinler Tabiat Parkı
Located at the Akyarma Meşeler Yaylası site in the Kızılcahamam district of Ankara, Şahinler Nature Park was declared in 2009 as an area suitable for open-air recreation thanks to its natural vegetation, wildlife, and scenic integrity. With the boundary revision in 2022, the area was expanded to 142.67 hectares, most of which consists of state forest. The region has rich forest cover; alongside black pine and Scots pine, beech, oak, and juniper forests stand together. In the park and its immediate surroundings, 213 plant taxa from 70 families have been recorded. Offering ideal routes for hiking, cycling, and enjoying the scenery, the park is also suitable for day-trip relaxation. The park, 25 km from the Kızılcahamam district center and from the Gerede district of Bolu, is reached via the Ankara-Bolu (D750) highway.
