Canköy Tabiat Parkı
Located in the Gölova district of Sivas, Canköy Nature Park is a 32.2-hectare protected area that was converted from recreation-site status into a nature park in 2018. Operated by the Gölova District Governorship, the park is only 9 km from the district center and is a peaceful stopover immersed in nature. The area hosts numerous plant species including Scots pine and common juniper as well as hawthorn, rosehip, downy oak, sage and milkvetch; a rich wildlife lives here, including bear, wild boar, wolf, fox and hare, along with eagle, sparrowhawk, buzzard, owl and woodpecker. Hiking and cycling are possible on the trails; the park is especially preferred for picnics in the spring and summer months. The park, which contains toilets, fountains, a children's playground, gazebos, picnic areas and walking paths, is reached at a distance of about 178 km from Sivas city center.
