Dülükbaba Tabiat Parkı
Declared in 2011, the 306-hectare Dülükbaba Nature Park lies north of Gaziantep, only 8 km from the city center, at the Dülük locality in the Şehitkamil district. Named after the nearby village, the park offers an easily accessible nature getaway thanks to its location on the Gaziantep-Adana State Highway (D400). Its forest, woven with Turkish red pine, black pine, and cypresses, is home to fragrant plants such as thyme, zahter, and mountain mint, and to wildflowers such as crocus and grape hyacinth. In the park, where partridge, hare, fox, and jackal roam, birds of prey such as hawks and falcons can also be observed from time to time. Ideal for nature hikes, cycling tours, and scenery viewing, the park is one of the favorite spots for day recreation thanks to its closeness to the city. The area can also be reached by public transport using the M09, M10, M17-1, S12, and S04 lines.
