Erikli Tabiat Parkı (Bilecik)
Located within the boundaries of Erikli village in the Bozüyük district of Bilecik, at an average altitude of 1,330 meters, Erikli Nature Park was declared in 2018 with an area of 67.4 hectares. It is a forested area rich in flora and fauna, covered with black pine, Scots pine, fir, Turkish red pine, juniper and oak species. Being far from settlements and offering favorable living conditions, it is home to large mammals such as bear, wolf, deer and wild boar. The park's most special asset is the Atatürk Mansion, built for Atatürk by his comrade-in-arms Colonel Çolak İbrahim Bey. In this respect, Erikli is one of the rare spots where nature and history live side by side. The site has an entrance control unit, a tent camping area, a Wildlife Education Center, a viewing terrace, a snack kiosk and 14 day-use units. Nature walks, camping and photo safaris are possible. The park, 10 km from the Bursa-Ankara highway main artery, is 35 km from the Bilecik city center and 25 km from the Bozüyük district. The best season is between May and October.
