Topuk Yaylası Tabiat Parkı
Declared a nature park in 2017, the roughly 78-hectare Topuk Yaylası Nature Park is located in the Domaniç district of Kütahya, 101 km northwest of the city center. In the park, which has a rich flora and fauna, the dominant tree species is the Oriental beech. In the area covered by middle-aged and old beech forests, small trees and shrubs appear in places, along with many plant species such as crocus, wild strawberry and the Ankara crocus. The fauna includes wild boar, squirrel, hedgehog and tortoise, as well as bird species such as hawk and starling. The park offers routes suitable for hiking and enjoying the scenery. The day-use areas allow for picnicking; a toilet, a prayer room, a viewing terrace and two children's playgrounds are at visitors' service. Domaniç is easily reached by private car via the D-595 highway.
